Community Service Recognition Award

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Pullman presents the Kiwanis Community Service Recognition Award to advance and honor community service and volunteerism in the Pullman area.

Recipients of the award are outstanding contributors to the well being and environment of Pullman; exemplary role models for Pullman’s children, men, and women; and show demonstrated commitment to civic matters and the ongoing improvement of the city.

2023 Award – Dr. Jonny Fisher

Dr. Fisher’s contributions to the community through his free pediatric dental services program exemplify Kiwanis’ mission to improve the world one child and one community at a time. Pediatric dentistry services have been identified as one of the biggest areas of need for low-income and rural children, who suffer disproportionately from problems related to dental health and access to care. Through his free clinic, Dr. Fisher has identified this need in our community and volunteered his time to make a life changing difference for children on the Palouse.

2022 Award – Tom and Jeri Harris

Tom and Jeri Harris arrived in Pullman almost 15 years ago in June 2007 when Tom retired from Chevron Corporation after 25 years. They contacted the Pullman Chamber of Commerce to volunteer for the Lentil Festival and Pullman Civic Theatre before they even arrived.
